Mrs. Jones has never thrown the husband out of bed because of an Oregon Pinot Noir. That’s a fact. After setting up camp in Corvallis, Mrs. Jones realized she was about an hour south of where she’d prefer to be! Road trip! After an amazing breakfast at Wise Crack cafe (shout out to Deena!) she was heading North salivating for some great Oregon wine! By the way, no shortage of men in overalls around these parts…

Needless to say, after a Vineyard or two the camera was lost and there was some confusion… Mrs. Jones managed some evidence of the chaos. First stop Domaine Drouhin! Yum…

Next stop, Archery Summit where Mrs. Jones learned more than she needed to about soil conditions, weather, and elevation with each flight. No need to hear all the specials, I’ll take the burger… Just sayin’

A quick sidebar, sometimes Mrs. Jones picks the wrong RV parks but that’s OK. Because the sunset view from the doggy playground could never be wrong.

Goodbye Pinot Noir, off to One Night in Ashland! First stop on Mrs. Jones’ agenda after fatiguing her muscles wine tasting – an epic Thai Massage! Many thanks to D’vorah and Cheryl at Thai Therapeutics for squeezing us in last minute for a fantastic massage! If you’re in Ashland, you won’t go wrong here! Chi: aligned.

Next stop, downtown Ashland! Super quaint man bun (actually, full blown ponytail) kinda town… beautiful greenery, rolling hills, great beer… Standing Stone Brewing Company offered cold beer and tasty farm to table food!

One last stop on the way back to the kinda crappy RV park (chosen by Mrs. Jones’ husband this time) was the Wild Goose Grill and Bar for some live music! By the way, the RV park to stay in is Jackson Wellsprings in Ashland. This is a beautiful natural spring and spa that is clothing optional after dark! Who wants to wear clothes in a natural hot spring? And who wants to be publicly naked before dark?Mrs. Jones was tempted to compare Ashland, Oregon to Asheville, North Carolina… the difference is Asheville has the music. Ashland has the Chi. That being said, Mrs. Jones can ALWAYS find the live music… Great sounds from the Allen Crutcher Band at the adorable and authentic Wild Goose Grill!

Be prepared to see lots of these on the Oregon roads:

Next stop California!! Home away from home for Mrs. Jones! Look who’s looming to her left welcoming her back! One shot of whiskey and off we go…

Update: Mrs. Jones’ home base is located at the star. Relax, nothing is under control…

    1. We are currently just North of Calistoga at Harbin Hot Springs… making a dash on Monday to Big Sur, next reservation is Cachuma Lake in Santa Barbara County. Great great wine country there! Then a hard left to Vegas, baby! We have a tent!! Miss our friends! 💕
