Excuse Mrs. Jones for being a little slow to blog, her muscles are all too sore to type… While loving every inch of this beautiful country for five weeks with the RV headed North and West she finally hit Montana Baby! When offered a big beautiful house in Whitefish, Montana by a generous awesome cousin, Mrs. Jones said YES. Fourteen baths later, here’s the scoop…

Surrounded by acres of private forest, and in between baths, this beautiful place had so much to offer – it’s a private playground for the whole gang!

Can you spot the animals in these pics? (Neither of which we intend to shoot!!)

The little town of Whitefish boasts it’s own Whitefish Lake, Golf courses galore, and the top rated Whitefish Mountain Ski Resort! Add to that Glacier National Park twenty minutes away and you have heaven! Downtown Whitefish has great food, lots of live music (Hooray for Mrs. Jones) and poker and slots everywhere you look…

One of Mrs. Jones favorite bands, The Black Lillies, just happened to be in town at The Remington, where Mrs. Jones won $120 playing slots while waiting for the music! How does it get better?

The greatest onion rings in the country can be found at the Bulldog Grill and Saloon! Don’t miss them if you’re in Whitefish!

In between the eating, gambling, drinking and dancing… there was even a little time for Mrs. Jones to explore the Great Outdoors! Starting the adventure with a little paddle boarding on the gorgeous Whitefish Lake!

Day two it was time to step it up – up – up to Glacier National Park with a looooong hike to a magical lake and a scenic drive on “Going to the Sun” road. There is really nothing in the world like Glacier. It’s a see it to believe it kind of place, but here’s a taste:

Loaded with Bear Spray, still Mrs. Jones managed to elude the frightful grizzly, but lost all Grizzly fears about two miles uphill – kinda almost sorta wishing for an interruption by anything at that point! Maybe it’s the flat land of Florida again, but Mrs. Jones was a little irked by being passed up by old people and cripples and such… going to need some work on those hiking skills!

GOING TO THE SUN ROAD – here’s an attempt to capture the experience,

This road was first fully paved in the 1930’s… go figure. It hangs and winds off the mountain cliffs which makes the engineering and the manpower to build it almost unimaginable – especially almost one hundred years ago! Humans are Badass…

How do you do Montana without a little fly fishing? You don’t! Mrs. Jones could just scoop the cold crisp water up in her hands and drink it!

In nearby Columbia Falls, Mrs. Jones once again scouted out a live music venue with GREAT local mountain bluegrass… The Gunsight Saloon – another must do for visitors!

Per usual, Mrs. Jones’ husband met some LA beauties in town for the weekend! A short, inexpensive and non-stop flight into Kalispell from LAX (the airport is twenty minutes away).

A quick link to our epic host’s home in Whitefish – book yourself a great, great time in the best adult playground in the USA!

Wrapping things up in Whitefish, Mrs. Jones did a little foot-stomping and demanded her husband buy her a little Craftsman Bungalow fixer upper downtown. Mrs. Jones can be a brat… Offer in, the rest to be determined!

The perfect compliment to the sunny winters in Florida! Next stop – Lake Hayden, Idaho. One shot of whiskey (and some escrow papers in tow) and OFF WE GO!! P.S. There is a Chic-fil-a in Kalispell!
