The Columbia River Gorge is absolutely spectacular with Mt. Hood looming in the distance… But for Mrs. Jones this chapter of the journey was about scary, scary bridges… Just a head’s up – if you are driving an RV, while towing a car on the Hood River Bridge and a semi is approaching it’s best to just stop… and maybe cry a little. The Bridge of the Gods is about three inches wider than Hood River Bridge – which makes all the difference in the world!

Followed up by the bridge ordeal is a lovely windy drive along the Columbia River alongside a train, and five low tunnels… requiring Mrs. Jones to double check the RV height about one hundred times. Let’s just say Mrs. Jones was in need of a stiff drink by the time she reached her destination!

Yay! She found one in the lovely town of Hood River, where on a Monday night the town looked like this! Stop in at Sixth Street Cafe for a great meal and a drink! What a cool town…

Hey, could that be some sort of infamous Oregon “medical dispensary?” Mrs. Jones just had to take a quick peek…

Mrs. Jones only had one quickie of a night in Hood River, but it was a full one! Willamette Valley watch out… Trading whiskey for wine!

Love Hood River and Will-am-it area! Enjoy and safe travels!
